Balustrades

Ian often gets asked for balustrades and handrails. The most technical and challenging ones were created by carpenter Steve Clowes for a developer on the south coast. Steve created the oak staircases on site with Ian following on to provide the metal spindles and framework for the handrails to be fixed onto. In total they made 12 flights of stairs onsite.

Ian also designed and created a Brutalist inspired balustrade that could span 8.5m without any triangulation points that would interfere with the simple design theme of the rest of the property (final 2 photographs)
